Who Am I?

What do I like to do? What are some of my characteristics? If I could change one thing about myself what would it be? Who am I? To answer these questions is not as simple for me as to just answer them on the spot at the traditional icebreaking of every group event. To answer these questions I need to understand myself first. This is the problem I always run into I don't truly understand myself, so trying to explain myself to others is difficult every single time. To get over this I am going to attempt to answer these questions by breaking them down.

What do I like to do?

Whenever I have free-time what does my mind immediately jump to doing? Well, whenever I have downtime I check my phone do I like to do that? I wouldn't say thats something I like to do though. What about watching YouTube I do that a lot is that something I like? No, that isn't it. Checking social media and watching YouTube are a typical part of by day but I wouldn't say I enjoy them as much as they are ways to mindlessly pass the time. What about things that I do that I forget I am even participating, for me those things are exercising and video games. I would say I enjoy doing those things and losing myself in them mostly because I do them with friends and family.

What are some of my characteristics?

Coming up with my own characteristics is always difficult for me because I don't know what is the best way to describe myself. Should I try to describe myself through the eyes of another person or maybe through my own eyes? Another person may say I am extraverted, a deep thinker, a hard worker, and kind. But what would I say? I think if I met myself on the street I would describe myself as reserved, friendly, and forgiving. I don't think that those two descriptions have to be exclusive to one another but maybe they could be combined into an accurate depiction of what I am like to be around.

If I could change one thing about myself what would it be?

If I could change one thing it would I would make myself able to answer questions about myself confidently. I would be able to tell you what I don't like about something or myself. I could tell you what I am currently thinking about and not only would you be able to believe it but I would too.

Who am I?

At the end of the day who am I really? Well, I like activities that bring me closer to my friends and family and I am extraverted, a deep thinker, a hard worker, and kind as well as reserved, friendly, and forgiving. So I treasure my family and my experiences and I look to those around me for my aspirations. And finally I value the opinion of me from those who share it because it is how I see myself.
